World-renowned quantum physicist, author, educator, and public policy expert, John Hagelin, Ph.D, helped pioneer a remarkable crime study in Washington, D.C.

Obtaining his Ph.D from Harvard University, Hagelin is currently Professor of Physics and Director of the Institute of Science, Technology and Public Policy at Maharishi University of Management, as well as Minister of Science and Technology of the Global Country of World Peace. Dr. Hagelin has conducted pioneering research at CERN (the European Center for Particle Physics) and SLAC (the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center) and is responsible for developing a highly successful grand unified field theory based on the Superstring. In other words, he is one smart dude.

During the summer of 1993, over 4,000 people participated in a focused meditation practice designed to reduce the number of violent crimes in D.C. that summer. A 27-member independent Project Review Board, which included sociologists and criminologists from leading universities, as well as police, governmental and civic leaders, monitored the progress of the study. At the end of the two-month period, the chief of police publicly stated that the effect was remarkable and crime was significantly lower than in previous years.

Focused positive group thought and intention positively affected the outer world.
